You cannot trust any "voter guides" you receive in the mail. These are "purchased" endorsements provided by slick campaigners each and every election.
What's more, on campaign mail is a required disclosure of who it's from or who paid for it. But whether it's from "California Voter Guide" or "Cops Voter Guide" or "Republican Voter Guide," don't be deceived. Assuming nothing you read on these mailers is true, because truth is not legally required for any of them.
